The Studio 5 Program has been updated and changed into the Inneract Project.

The Studio 5 program started in 1993 when San Francisco graphic designer Patricia Bruning, reacting to the lack of diversity in the graphic design profession, implemented the program using the LEAP (Learning in Educational Arts Program) format in one fifth grade classroom at Cesar Chavez Elementary School.
