San Francisco Design Week 2008

San Francisco Mayor, Gavin Newsom, has once again declared June 15–22, 2008, as “Design Makes a Difference Week” in San Francisco. AIGA SF will be sponsoring a full week of events and an exhibit highlighting the diversity and professionalism of the design community.

San Francisco Design Week is a celebration of San Francisco Bay Area Design and will include AIGA San Francisco’s 25th Anniversary Exhibit and Fellow Awards Reception, a Business and Design Lunch Forum, a Design Shorts Film Festival, Pecha Kucha Night, Traveling Lounge, and other events.

Our goal is to continue to raise public awareness of Design and more importantly San Francisco Bay Area Design, including but not limited to Graphic, Product, Interior, Fashion, Architecture and Advertising Design.

For a full listing of events, please visit our SF Design Week site.

A design week declared by the mayor! That is so amazing. I work as a designer for television and film broadcast here in NYC, so I can really appreciate the Design Shorts Film Festival.

I lived in S.F. for four years and left right before Gavin became mayor. I am excited for design week and plan on flying out. If you need any help with anything, please let me know. AIGA volunteer work is very important!
