Education Co-Chair

Julie received her BFA from the Academy of Art University in 2004. From there she immediately started working for Chronicle Books, and was then hired as a senior designer at Simayof Jewelers, eventually becoming their creative director.

She has previously taught at the Academy of Art University, and takes a lot of pride in helping students create a vision and see it to fulfillment. Since teaching, she has begun tutoring students and helping them with their personal portfolio development.

She is currently the creative director of an internet start up in Palo Alto. Her previous clients include, True Cosmetics, the San Francisco Zoo, Apple, Inc, Wildcare Marin, BMW Car Club of America, and Loki Interpretive Group.
